The Class of 2010

Life clenches all destinies in its hand,
But I refuse its commands.
Like the rebel in the slum of society,
I am, I dream of a dream that sets me free.
Free to spread my wings and rise,
To the top of all hell bound skies.
For society has past judgment and says our generation cannot succeed,
So recede your false tongues society, for i, for we will BLEED ourselves dry in order to
exceed.
This is what you failed to understand,
We are the class of 2010.
And no man or woman shall deny us our dreams,
For our self esteems will make our goals reign supreme.
Never underestimate, or deny us our win,
We are the class of 2010.

This doesn't seem like something that should be specific to the class of 2010, but to the whole down-trodden part of the society's youth. I'm reminded of the great philosopher Mick Jagger: "People try to put us down (talking 'bout my generation) / just because we get around (talking 'bout my generation)."

You are definitely the class of 2010. No doubt. Nice expressions
