The Citizen In Me
the citizen in me sings with joy
hymns of patriotism and service
happiness permeates my being
the citizen in me makes me proud
my nation is my bread and wine
I must sell the name to all nations
if love of nation is not rewarding
if the times are hard and obscure
my desire of patriotism increases
if my nation is to be best of the best
the talents I hold now in her service
I release gladly to the nation I love
the citizen in me urges me to be loyal
on my back the nation so dear rides
