The Circus

Did you even know
About the brand new show
Just the other day
I saw and didn't stray

Could you even go
To the new Circus show
Did you want to stay
And watch the tigers play

Isn't it so fun
To watch until it's done
To listen to the sounds
To hear the crowd's resounds

Look now there's the one
The master of the fun
He's calling the shots
And making fun for tots

And now here's the clowns
Laughing will be the sounds
From all of their jokes
In both young and old folks

All good things must end
But they'll be back again
So look all around
When their show's back in town

Hi, Zachary. it's nice to meet a new poet. Thanks for seeing my Cinder girl poem. Your poem is a cute one making us remember when the circus was in town.

I've not been to the circus since I was a small child - you brought back great memories. In 20 years of living here I don't ever recall a circus coming over to our little Island. Hugs Jan xx

Thanks so much for the comment. Sorry the reply took so long. I've been a bit busy. Anyhow, I'm glad I could bring back some great memories for you. Have a wonderful day, or night, or whatever it is for you and again, thanks for the kind comment.
