The Child Within

She Comforts the child Within
The one that lived in darkness
The black that spun
into
Her very soul

She Paints the world in sepia
her craft is not so crafty
As it once was
Everything is burnt Umber

And the God that she
once believed in,
and tries to still,
Can't see her anymore
As he sees only the warmth
And she lives in the icy blue.

She Comforts the child Within
The one that struggles to exist
The one that sees everyday
As a challenge
And her world
turns to Grey
She Comforts the child Within
