The Child of the Meadow
The child of the meadow appears in daylight,
her face is as fresh as the welcoming spring,
eyes sparkle like flowers in the verdant field,
popping up by her magical desire for a showy yield.
The child of the meadow appears in daylight,
waves her wand for the first harbingers to arrive,
they are the feathery seasonal visitors who sing,
entertaining all denizens with their tweety ring.
The child of the meadow appears in daylight,
when the sun sets she turns into a mist,
a disappearing act done by her own will,
her essence is felt with a cool evening chill.
