The Chief Cornerstone

The Rock is he on whom I rely
there it is the strength of his arms
to hold me up as time travels by
he holds me close away from harms

My Lord is he and high in station
and tender love he freely dispenses
he lifts me up with joys elation
to reach my heart he has broken my fences

Around me has he builded a mansion
at his feet will I worship forever
with Love there is always rooms of expansion
and prove myself faithful to loves endeavor

His foundation is as solid as mountains
within his shelter I am always safe
Words of affection are shed like fountains
who's waters are cool and never chafe

And so anointed with Love I am gifted
I know my soul and lived from it's sources
one who was wretched and mean you have lifted
the words I have spoken among my discourses

To the temple of Love upon chief cornerstone
against this house will come many nations
with so many lovers we are never alone
upon them your wrath will flow with fixation

It is upon the Rock do I stand
I bow before the alter of Love
through it all do you hold my hand
as I worship in temple of God above
