The Chemistry of a Fear

Pore your heart out on the table
I’ll tear fear from the mind’s steeple
Fear is not real, it doesn't exist
Well if it’s not real then it’s a ghost

Spirits escape the confides of a tomb
Rapture through the membrane like a womb
Haunting the living with a broom and a gust
Refusing to exempt their return to dust

Hearts raised to maximum rate
Minds aroused on this cheap stimulant
Fear is real, too real for ignorance
Enters the mind with little resistance

Tell me what is impossible dear, ignorance is bliss
Close your eyes, and let death give you a kiss
Living yet dead in spirit and purpose
This is something impossible I suppose

Light the eternal flame to burn forever
Throw me a duck and I’ll bowl you over
Tell me what is unbelievable, no one invites death
And I’ll tell you what is impossible on earth
