The Change

Winter is cold, and gray, and dreary,
And before it is over, we all are a little bit weary.
We long for warm days, for sunshine and flowers,
And birds singing, and unexpected showers.

Then one day we look out and see something green,
And we know that shortly, we shall be seeing
A transformation before all the town-
Earth taking off her old robe, and slipping on a new gown.
