The Chameleon Dance

Come and try the striped chameleon dance.
It originated in Germany, Spain and France.
We start out hop-sliding, continue in a lively prance.
Pretty soon automatic, as if we’re in a trance.

With a hidy high high and a howdy hoe hoe,
Just stick out your petootsie and put in your toe.
The striped chameleon dance can be rather slow.
Make sure that your mouth makes bubbles that blow.

You want to wear a costume? Well, that’s okay.
We all like to change it up during the day.
The chameleons would be the first to change pink to gray.
Come on, everybody! Dance your petootsie away!
