The Cave

This cave is dark this cave is safe this cave is small but it’s my place
This cave is where I hide; this cave is where I cry this is my cave you can’t come inside.
I want to come out but I can’t find the exit. Living in this cave is very depressing.
This cave consumes me this cave removes me.
This is my cave I cannot go if I do, well I’ll never know
For this is my cave I’ll never leave here I’m planted like a tree.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t like this cave but for eighteen years it’s where I’ve stayed. Here in
this
cave i see only one pair of hands.I know not nothing no woman or man, I would escape this
cave but I haven’t a plan. Until I conceive one here i will stand and inhabit this cave like a
cave
man.
