Notes About The Poem

This is free verse but also it has rhyming, so I was not sure how to label it.

For the Contest of  Anoucheka Gangabissoon/ I Dived Into a Cauldron of Magic Potion

__________________________________________________________________________

The Cauldron of Magic Potion

The cauldron of magic potion
I dived into one time.
It bubbled with such effervescence
that I could not resist.
It drew me into the potion
 – as do the waves
of the sparkling ocean.
With its most delicious taste
my lips were kissed,
for the potion is passion-sweet,
but you will discover
if you dive into it too,
romance you imbibe will be fleeting.
For love to be complete,
you must find the other cauldron
whose magic is a love that is true!

Andrea, great story really. Finding the right solution is never as simple as a one-shot deal. A lot of wisdom here. The first cauldron might be a real trip though!! LOL Smiles!!

"It drew me into the potion – as do the waves of the sparkling ocean." That line sucked me in like an inescapable black hole in space. Noone other than you could pull that rabbit out of the hat, Andrea. Kudos Kiddo

This is great fantasy. The first cauldron was fine, but when you said another cauldron, I was exhausted. Lol. This is cute.

The potion will give you thrills, yet you need a stronger one. Not easy to find. Hugs.

I agree - not able to label. I like the mix of free verse and rhyme (I know I mix the two from time to time and click fv), It was nice to enjoy your creativity again. For this contest, I have nothing, absolutely nada. When I first read the contest title, I feared October was already here ... CayCay
