The Catshifter
If I had to be an animal
I think I'd be a cat,
Sitting on a broomstick
Or on witch's hat.
And then with witchy powers
That my mistress would bestow,
I'd magic to my heart's content
Oh meow oh meow oh meow.
First I'd have a spot of fun
Just let the games commence,
I'd steal the bones of all those dogs
That live across the fence.
The ones that like to torment puss
And chase her just for fun,
I'd throw their bones to kingdom come
Now cats are number one.
I'd wait until they'd had their fill
Of chump and doggy food,
When curled up snug in doggy bed
I'd sneak up and Kaboom!
I'd suddenly appear and screech
And give them such a fright,
They'd wake up with their hairs on end
And quake all through the night.
And then I'd try and find a home
Where I could be a pet
To love an owner who loved me
As good as it does get.
By nights we'd sit around a fire
All cosy and content,
I'd leave my witchy hat behind
Not once would I lament.
