The Castle of Dust

There’s a tale of happiness inside my wearisome mind I sail ashore in your heartstrings — sounds more than kind Thanks for the handkerchief for my wondrous tears I’ve been weeping cheer for many horrendous years The tale of tribulation comes settling in Where have you been? Where have you been? Again, I’ve been searching for you in the dust In the dust storm, I’ve lost almost all our trust I have been settling underneath The castle of dust, the castle of dust Beneath the Earth’s radiant wreath Soaring bright with wanderlust, wanderlust I have been settling beneath The castle of dust, the castle of dust Underneath north’s musical sound, I breathe Happiness is a must, hopefulness equals trust There’s a tale of cheerfulness in the wintry air I am snowed under by your autumn skyfall… I must be there in your arms of merry despair Drifting away asunder and feeling numb through it all The tale of tribulation comes settling in Where have you been? Where have you been? Again, I’ve been searching for you in the dust In the dust storm, I’ve lost almost all our trust I have been settling underneath The castle of dust, the castle of dust Beneath the Earth’s radiant wreath Soaring bright with wanderlust, wanderlust I have been settling beneath The castle of dust, the castle of dust Underneath north’s musical sound, I breathe Happiness is a must, hopefulness equals trust Snowflakes aflame in my eyes of fearlessness…it’s so extravagant Blowing breezes of bewilderment and it’s a ruthless sorrow oh so elegant Knowledge overflows into the springs of the lies laid beneath I am settling with my broken wings of flight way underneath I’m in the castle of dust…castle of dust…castle of dust… In my whirling, twirling tombstone of lonely wanderlust… You’ve gained your trust In the castle of dust… You cave in and collide through The wistful winds of love so true
