The Carousel

Lately I've had to grit my teeth to find the strength to breathe
Even my favorite things are becoming unbearable
I use to find it beautiful
that life is like a carousel
but I've been at the fair for too long
and I can't take one more sad song
I don't wanna be in the cold when the music stops
and I don't wanna feel empty when the high wears off
I want to get off this ride
but there are some people I can't leave behind
Even if it means suffering for a lifetime.
