The Candy Man
Sometimes kids know no strangers
As they set out on their own
Maybe they're going to the park
That's just a block or two from home
When a stranger pulls up and asks them
"Can you help me find my kitten?"
Now, he don't even have a cat
But how do they know he didn't?
And, sometimes, they use candy
To lure our kids inside
Or ask them where they're going
Then, offer them a ride
When we try to warn our children
It's like we waste our breath
But if we tell them of the dangers
It would scare them half to death
Parents must be vigilant
And practice what to say
For if we don't, how will they know
When to run away
