The Candle Under the Bushel
No man would do as such being no sense to be made of this
For we must never lose touch or it'll be the point you'll miss
Be the Light of All His Glory or even in the simplest of light
In so many not knowing His Story not being any inner plight
A candle was meant to shine it is so simple there's no trick
To the darkness there is no line in so afflicting all the sick
His light being meant to expose as to yourself you reveal
And as your inside grows it changes the way that you feel
Simply placed on a candlestick the whole family can see
It all being so simplistic and yet so many just don't agree
In being meant to only give light all other uses are futile
As in the truth that I recite, with so many sitting in denial
You can't complain about a candle nor the Light it gives
Needing only to get a handle on how one presently lives
Doing so one must be able to see guided by God's Light
So don't even worry about me, it's you whose in this fight
Matthew 5:15
Neither do men light a candle,
and put it under a bushel,
but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
