The Butterfly

In the cocoon lies a secret
A metaphorical preparation for life
And from the struggle emerges
The butterfly - one of the world’s most beautiful sights

Spreading its wings
Strong – from the earlier years
Unaware
The process – the maturation, from overcoming all fears

The harder the battle
The more beautiful life’s flight
Strength - confidence gets developed
Our vision becomes clear and precise

So let’s spread our wings
Trust and appreciate all lessons learned
Take the given advice
Work hard – be content with all you have earned

From the cocoon we shall rise
Glorious colors to behold
Like the butterfly
Our life story gets told

How ironic – the reward is the struggle
