The Bum Sleeps Without a Dream

A miserable existence
he seeks shelter from the cold
smells of wine and urine
body's growing mold

Sits between some buildings
tonight this is his home
lays out a beggars cup
falls asleep there all alone

No plans for his tomorrow
he sleeps without a dream
miserable existence
has no way or means

no sense in feeling sorry
his life can't be rearranged
just dig deep inside your pocket
and give him your spare change
