The Bug Carousel

Henry picked a ladybug;
Hadley chose a fly.
Mine was striped but not a bug
I could identify.

Up and down and round and round,
With music jangling on,
We rode the carousel until
The time we had was gone.

Grandpa took the photos;
Nana thought up rhymes
And had to ride, on different bugs,
With Hadley two more times.

Did you know Watch Hill (Westerly, RI) has the oldest working carousel in the country? – if what I've read is true. / M

LOL Not surprising Hadley wanted to ride more of the "bugs." This is such a cute poem, Ilene. Enjoyed!

I love that name, Hadley, Hadley and Henry. Quite the perfect pair. Come on Nana, let's enjoy the fair. Up and down and all around and then some cotton candy. Thank you Grandpa, you're pictures are just dandy.

Nicely done, Ilene! The best thing about grandchildren is seeing wonder in their eyes! Aloha! Rico
