The Buccaneer and the Dolphin

There is an adventure to be written From my perch where I be sitting Two characters my imagination see A relationship story to be told late in the day over tea There is an honest buccaneer Nothing much to fear Gaining power sipping Busch beer Relaxing in a garden Thinking doing some smart-in Watching six flags blowing Trying to figure out where life was going Decided in a split second It was time to do a little networking checking Headed east To visit a peaceful sea monster beast When he arrived In land to where there were no tides Not even any rides A crystal placid lake Tranquil simplicity quietly told the buccaneer ‘five to take’ Suddenly, appearing a kind fellow Swimming around very mellow Turning the buccaneer attitude fluffy and gel low Raising a fin “hello” Followed his water spout letting one flow This made the buccaneer let out a joyful laugh Knowing the peaceful creature was enjoying a lifelong bath “My dolphin friend I must ask you to defend When is this social distancing going to end?” And a fish emerged from the water to perform a flip Well trained since it is written in the script “My buccaneer friend I know you are above me When we travel the seven seas We work together Dealing with nasty weather Clearing up letting the sun come out Giving us something to talk about My forecast it will be soon Allowing us to communicate under an enchanting moon” In a friendly way the dolphin mentioned Getting the buccaneers attention “Land ho I must go Back to the west To do my best Eating bread Have enough to be fed Until again we meet It will be my treat A rare steak Cooked the way I make” Saying what he meant Without any resent A trip back the buccaneer did To a six pack in the garden where he hid Until the day When all the masks are put away Smiling will return To faces which once had a look of concern
