The Brown Widow

You wait for me
In the dark
To many eyes
They cover me

I wait till day
To go your way
Hoping your asleep

You lay still
Await my move
I approach
Hoping you snoozed

I hold my breath
But your to quick
You strike so fast
Your poisonous

Why did I go
I should have paused
I knew you were there
After all

And then I see
That you are them
I’m bait in your web
In the end
