The Brightest Colour

I was once my mother's favourite colour
Her bossom was mine and mine alone
Under her wings l would hide when it was raining
Then a stranger tiny but loud arrived
He took my place and took one of my mother's eyes
My heart was bitter but his smile l could not resist
Over the years l have come to accept
He is my mother's second colour
But the only question is
Which is the brightest of the two?

Brother is a brother created to be loved by you and me even though they take our space and
some of the benefits we had
