The idea for the theme and title of this poem came about after reading the book 90 Minutes In Heaven.  The book is about Pastor Don Piper who died in a car accident.on January 18, 1989.

I had a car accident on April 19, 2015 I needed triple bypass heart surgery.  I was in two medical centers and a care center a total of 31 days.  I was told it is a miracle I am alive. I am a witness God is there for those who believe in miracles from Heaven.

The road of life is long and winding, There could be detours along the way, We are moving forever forward, There's no going back to a yesterday, Some days are up, Some days are down, There could be tragedies when troubles abound, Whenever tragedies impede our life, We cross a bridge to a new way of life, Through all the pain of trying to adjust, We need to remember God is there for us, His tender mercies will see us through, All the pain and suffering to a life anew, And when our problems begin to heal, We reach out to others and help them feel, The love of God who will help them, Across the bridges in their life.
