The Bridge

Let my body span the river 
that your's desires to cross,

Let my love bridge the sea
of all that your heart's lost,

Let me bear your burden
till you safely are cross'd,

Let my soul warm the spaces
where life has left frost,

Let our bond be this passage
and our pasts be the cost
