THE BREAKING BEFORE THE BLESSING
God says go forth
have no fear
I'll always for you
be right there
don't worry about the destination
enjoy the journey you traverse
the act of knowing, the act of going
the act of arriving for better or worse
don't bring God to your issues
bring your issues to God
for there'll be a breaking before the blessing
let the Lord do His part
just don't be in a hurry to go
where God wants you to be
for He has to break you to build you
so you can fulfill your destiny
an internal transformation
must take place
to be a compliment
to God's external grace
don't bring God to your issues

for there be a breaking before the blessing,
let the Lord do His part
leave your old self behind
no longer stuck in the past
now a new creation in Christ
reformed and enhanced
renewed, recalibrated and revised
the breaking before the blessing
the ultimate God prize
with an adjusted mindset
as you take this new journey in life
now focused and assured
as you travel with the Lord Christ
