The Break Up

You love me
like a drought loves rain
but i don't love you
at least not the same
i am a beast

i hide in a shelter
of fake smiles and family
i twirl in circles
of short days and long years
i am a mystery

I live in a different world
of the wild but tame
where books come to life
and reality is never the same
am i alive

but im sorry to say
that our love has passed and gone
our friendship is still there
but not for long
