The Brain
The brain
Like a bird that will start fighting
And quite fiercely too, I must say
With his image in the mirror
He must defeat him, come what may
And you’ll see him in this struggle
Silly bird, he does not know
That the mirror simply fools him
So he keeps pecking, he won’t go
What a violent confrontation
His opponent won’t give up
So the bird just keeps attacking
And he does not care to stop
It’s his brain, he can not help it
For it lacks the intellect
So this ’crazy’ bird behavior
Is not one he can correct
But not us, enlightened humans
For we are wise enough to know
That encounters with our nature
Should encourage us to grow
That is if we were to notice
Traits and qualities not so nice
We should not be in denial
But do away with every vice
Don’t ignore and don’t get angry
When confronted show some sense
Do accept a fair correction
Don’t just jump into defense
Because virtues will bring blessings
They will keep you wise and sane
Be intelligent, be humble
For you have a human brain.
