The Boy Who Was Once a Man

In unimaginable disarray, there he lie The boy who was once a man Deserted by family friends and left to die All he desired was to fulfill his most sacred dream He didn’t desire anyone else or any other thing But without the love of another his goal was too extreme One fateful day he came across his chance of true devotion One being was all it took to steal his legs from underneath him An angel so stunning was thought to be caught in his imagination This woman was as truly beautiful and pure as man could ever think Because of her strikingly luminous aura of animation In the boys head she had become an indelible ink The boy realized he didn’t have enough virtue to be with that of a saint His dream wouldn’t last without the missing piece of his withered heart He understood he should forget about her but it took too much restraint His dream had ceased to exist and been erased from his mind His vow from childhood seemed to vanish in an instant Thus he relinquished his eternal passion at which he shined This boy who was once a man at the peak of his game With every intention of being the best Now seemed to be at the bottom with only him-self to blame This “boy” was separated from the rest of the men The only thing still keeping him going today Was the chance to see his fair maiden again …………………….This boy was once a man
