The Bottom Line

The years I've played in the field of Love
(Could I ask for any more?)
Am I swept away by Love's great flood,
Or washed adrift upon its shore?
And what have I learned from all of this;
The years I've played in Love's grand field?
I have only one solemn wish:
To give my Heart a Sword and Shield

**I confess that this is not a new poem written specifically for this contest; however, I feel it embodies the quote completely, purely by coincidence. I hope it is acceptable, nonetheless and you will consider it in your judging :)

Chan The Man These are words that everyone can relate to in one way or another. It's hard to protect your heart because it's so fragile. Hugs Glad you could relate to my Bridge poem. I just hope the next time you cross one it's a happy ending.
