The Boss Is Coming To School Today

The boss is coming to school today.
Hooray hooray hooray hooray
I used to like him a bunch, I really did.
But this year he’s fallen into quite a skid.

Being a school counselor has challenges enough.
But being assigned to two schools is more than tough.
My health is going down, my energy depleted.
I am not happy to see him, blaming him as I’m defeated.

The boss is coming to school today
I might want to stay at home, I truly might.
The boss is coming to school today.
I do not want to see him, things are not all right.

Being a school counselor has paperwork galore.
I hate paperwork; it is something I deplore.
I never had to do this double work before.
He who assigned me this, I’d like to wipe up with the floor.

But once there I realized it was the wrong profession, given the era of the 60s and the upsidedown world hippies were creating. Glad I had the brains to see that. No regrets. / M
