The Books You Have Never Read
You stare at it from the outside wondering what is on the inside
You read the forward and the acknowledgement, the first and last page and leave out the devil’s details; it has been sitting on the shelf for more than six years and you have been watching it every day; you go to the bookstore and you open the door and fasten your eyes on the front cover and back cover but you never attempt to read what is on the inside of the book.
You have conference call over it, town hall and city hall debate and
You tell the governor to ban it without reading the content, as if perfection can take you to heaven and when the weary travelers are bored and have nothing take to read on the shore, the only book that is on the shelf is the book that you have never read.
I have been writing all my life, and I have made numerous sacrifice to get these words on the page, I have been to places that you cannot see and I have dined with people with various degree to compose the story for the book so I challenge you to take a good look.
There are days when the sun did not shine and the wilderness was mine, there were days when water flood around my space and the wind pound the trees and disrupt my dreams and when the hurricane made landfall, I was there to witness it all; the words were trembling on my lips and my story was the perfect uplift. I could feel every muscles and ligament when the pain ripped through my vain and destiny made its claim, all that I could do was to sit back and float in the heavenly plains.
I write books that have never been sold, I write stories that has never been told, I write poems that have never been read and I have master designs stacked up in my head. This is my only bread so remove the impediment so that my family can be fed.
There are books that must be read go and get some new books today.
