The Body Has Gone Frail

the body has gone frail
chasing dreams,
till youth is spent
on chances missed

to walk in vain
in chasing a meaningless aim
to wake from idyllic illusion
and confronted by life’s endless monotone

it seems just yesterday
the heart lifted pleasantly
in reaching a new height,
shaping a good life

but chances are bare
and opportunity rare
time is a pressure
and people are sperm

Soul’s strength now diminished
I’m half way but can’t reach it
inspiration nowhere in sight
but still burning my dwindling spirit

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
