The Blues
I never knew the sound of the blues
Then, why would I have a clue.
Its more than a sound so I have found
Its a life someone lived thats true.
The guitar is the sound of the music that plays,
but its so much more you see.
There's a soul with a story in front of the sound
That shares a life's meaning with thee.
You can transform the blues however you choose,
but you may never do it with soul.
For its the life that was lived that makes it the blues,
to sing it you best lived that role.
