The Blessing In the Storm

i can see the lightning coming,
i hear the thunder roar,
like an eagle perched on the mountains peak, from miles aways he sees the storm,
a forewarning of catastrophy, he humbly sits and waits,
preparing to ride the boysterious winds,
for he knows this is his fate,
no fear will drench his being,
he won't fight against these winds,
for he was meant to ride these storms, do we prepare for our storms within?
can we see the mighty hand of god, with each circumstance that comes our way,
do we fight against the winds of chaos, or do we quietly sit still and pray,
maybe fighting it can cause more damage if it's gods will that we go through it,
while running away we'll miss the results, a true blessing that comes along with it,
jesus gives us insight, a new sight within our heart,
do we pay close attention to examples he gives, renewing our minds to give us a new start,
he strengthens us with the capacity to endure heartache, while he waits for us to see,
the blessing manifested during our turmoil, he sees what's best for you and me.

This is wonderful. I like the reverence flow of thoughts in the poem. God is always loved and so are we. He will protect us from the storm, however, He warns us like the eagle, and we must pay attention to His words. The tone of this poem is very inspirational. Great job and God bless always! ~Joseph
