The Black Boys
Shrapnel of trouble fly allover their lives
And they are running out of places to hide
But unshaken is their courage and strength
The momentum of their zeal to fight on is just increasing
For the only reason darkness exists is because there is light somewhere
Instability is a common plague
And their past is only a thorn
That has struck between their paths to the future
Everything has lost sense and meaning
And in a jinx all will lose
Hope for revival has been blurred
The revival for unaltered freedom
That seems sweet yet so bitter
Sweet to live with it and bitter to achieve
Undermining the remaining zeal
The touch of reality feels useless
Because the harsh pang of selfishness has had enough of them
And they seem lost in the maze of understanding
Because the matrix of life only manifests
When they least expect it.
