The Birth of a Spring Poem 1925 N/A No 1295 The Birth of a Spring Poem 1925 N/A Open Poetry 8 "The only limit to the gardens of the world is in my mind" ~~The Poet~~ I wait till mystical inspirations comes, Thoughts often turn to sugar plums. Surges of honey drops, beaming. Gorgeous sensation of nectar streaming, Fresh from the hive, as bees frolic, Not a sign of being melancholic. In the misty moonshine, Pollen from the jasmine on the vine. Surrendering sweetness, they make, From each colorful flower they take, Glistening gleaming flight, All through the night, on gossamer Wings in sassafras groves. Sunflowers blooming in droves. Thought waves explode, As poetry overflowed, Premonitions please my senses. Now no need for pretenses. Scent of lilac cakes freshly baked, Covered with almonds softly flaked. Lilies promenade across the green, Creating an idyllic scene. Created by His loving hand. Lovers of nature will understand. White heather blossoms in tune. Harmony of summer coming soon. With symphonies exploring, The bluebird overhead souring. Enchanted wafting stars dance, Trickling gold frost as they prance. Soft melodies point setting, The onset of Spring no-one regretting.

Dear kindred spirit, I have read this delightful, enchanting poem several times. It’s a glorious explosion of everything spring has to offer and more. You have artistically created and captured such a wonderful scene in which you transport the reader to indulge in such happy thoughts of surrounding nature. ‘ misty moonshine’ ‘ sunflowers blooming’ ‘ lilies promenade’ ‘white heather’ ‘ bluebird’ - gorgeous imagery. So much for the senses to enjoy and be at peace with whilst poetry flows in tune.

Wow Chris, I had forgotten all about this poem. Yes I remember now, I was quite pleased with it, but it got an N/A in a contest and not even a comment, so I figured my taste must have been off the planet as usual. Thanks for restoring my confidence in my little poem. You truly are a treasured friend.
