The Big Yellow Beast

THE BIG YELLOW BEAST by JOHN M. ARRIBAS Back from a trip from the far east Slowly but surely, rises the beast Suddenly, there’s a shower of light In an instant every direction is bright Orbiting slowly along the way Time used up, about half a day Hovering over the timeless quest Erasing darkness, while edging west The beast is known for occasional tricks A duel with the moon can cause an eclipse At dusk the beast shimmers, goes away At dawn back for the next act of the play
