The Big Boom

nasty diatribe of never-ending speech
about the BIG ONE just beyond our reach
One little burst and the whole World, forever Cursed
To see our Children without any skin
an image of Misery that I can't imagine worse
Funnel air of Nuclear Debris
A sad little thought comes to mind

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?"

I look over my shoulder and view a world that has gotten much colder
A symphony or a Last Movement
Maybe WHAT HAS TO BE is His stern admonishment
IF DEATH SHALL BE YOUR SEXUAL FANTASY
THEN I WILL KISS IT WITH SUCH FINALITY

The writing of such lunacy is embedded with a Lesson
of what may happen to thee
This may never come to a doomsday fruition
But then the gist of this
is more factual than just mere Fiction
