The Between

Some men are born in graveyards And choose not to dream But there is more to life From what I've seen Some men think a towel Can stop a flood While others role up a sleeve And shovel the mud When a storm blows hard To challenge what's inside It is a strong man Who does not hide Some men are islands In oceans big and small But a heart that beats proud Will always answer When his countrymen call All men are born And will answer life's last request But it's the life lived between birth and death That will judge who were the best.
