The Best Unknown Actor
A ravaging monster slowy eats away,
Turning a beautiful sky to darkned gray.
Its fangs sink into my weakened spirit,
Putting away my flame with nothing more than spit.
It consumes every part of my weakened being,
Killing any hopes of the end of the tunnel ever seeing.
Compassion is non-existent to the beast,
It delights in making the end of me a feast.
It dwells within me mocking me as I go,
It's laugh I hear but pretend of it not to know.
It's eyes see through mine unperceived by others,
Seeking victims in children, men and mothers.
I disguise it with faint smiles and laughter,
Unknowingly becoming the best unknown actor.
The destructive monster is now part of me,
A part hidden from others for no one to see.
