Even in the bleak
Of these moments
Even when
We lose focus
When all the lights
Fade to gray
The sun loses 
The light of day
We still have you

The best is not behind us
Fighting through
The darkness of our minds
When thoughts of failure come
We remember

The innocence of the past 
Has faded
Thoughts of our home
Far off in the distance
But the love in our hearts
Has been with us
From the start

Every broken melody
Has left out you and me
The pieces of my broken heart
Has been left where you are
But these words still stay true
I’m forever in love with you
