The Best Gift

God knows our future,
  and holds out tomorrows,
He sends us forgiveness
  and time we can borrow.
He holds our hand
as we go on our way,
And he's sent us an Angel
  to guard us each day.
He sends us love songs
  in soft gentle breezes.
The rippling brook sings it's song
  just to please us.
He sends beauty in meadows,
  and bright warm sunbeams,
Pristine snow in the mountains
  and whispering streams.
But the best and most wonderous
  of all things He's given,
Was a Babe in a manger
  sent down from Heaven.
"Twas a gift of redemption
  that God sent that day
To a Bethlehem Manger
on a bed of sweet hay.
