The Beginning
Floating in a liquid pool,
I hear her mumbled voice,
It has been with me since the beginning.
Such a comforting sound.
I am tethered to my little world,
warm and cozy as it slowly shrinks.
I feel the tension, slowly I move,
excruciating headache.
I inch slowly down with each suffocating step.
I hear the strange voices
her's is not aloud.
The pain increases,
I suddenly am blinded by a scorching light,
bright indistinguishable patterns appear.,
A bone chilling breeze on my wet skin,
threatens my core.
I shiver and shake,
I cough, expelling my own.
I inhale the first breath,
It sears my lungs and closes doors.
I am no longer connected.
I then hear her voice once again.
It comforts and soothes me.
I feel her touch on my cheek.
She places me at her breast.
As I suckle, I see the face that matches the voice.
I know that I am loved.
