The beauty of night

I raised my sight towards the heavens and stared deep into the still night On earth I have seen many wonders, but none like the sky when alight There is no sound but the sound of silence, or maybe the sound of space there beyond Scattered stars into the black glittered, some dim and some glow bright with light Some stars for the naked eye are clear and others are quite out of sight In some you can see formations, but others are too far apart To man the universe may seem simple, but it is far more complex It’s Gods map that we still fail to acknowledge, as into this vastness we sail Some knowledge mankind has mastered, but what lies beyond will drive you insane I see a shooting star there in the distance, in silence I gazed, utterly bewildered Saleh Ben Saleh
