The Beauty of a Dream Come True
The Beauty of a Dream Come True
Lucky to not live in a city,
Recalling those red walls of brick.
Sirens wailing, screams aplenty.
Oh, I wanted out of it.
Crowded buses, freezing weather,
Dirty streets, horns blaring.
My soul cried, no more of this!
Summers sitting in pools of sweat.
It was either unhappy surrender
Or, dream, big impossible dreams.
That would give me my freedom.
I prayed, "Lord, get me out of this!"
Why do people crush your dreams?
The more negative they became,
I must thank each one and all,
For really igniting my insatiable flame!
To move to the City of my Dreams.
To live and work in San Francisco
I do not lie at alll, I tell you,
I was as joyful as a queen.
I had no idea what was in store.
Yet, it became so beautiful,
Far beyond any expectation.
In that city,I found my soul's destination!
Whatever your dream is, pursue it!
You can reach that star, keep it real.
It's the twinkling stardust in your hand.
The world is at your very command!
