The Beautiful Sky

Earth shades most of the moon’s pale face.
Stars stud the dark: ancient gems in their place.

I am staring and wondering – Why?
Why is there such a beautiful sky?

Beneath cool air on this feathered night,
far-lights travel to my eyes: I stare -

and I’m wondering – Why?
Why is there such a beautiful sky?

Yes, Psalm 19: 'The heavens declare the glory of God' - revelation and mystery together. I am glad that you liked the poem :)
