The Beautiful Ship of Captain Smith

The beautiful ship of Captain Smith
sank into the frigid water of the Atlantic Ocean
on a moonless night as Fedrick Fleet taken by emotion
spotted that massive iceberg approaching the main deck.

Fleet's first reaction was to notify his captain who had decided to doze,
he ran to his cabin as the thousands lights began to flicker, but the hard knock
woke up Captain Smith and told him what he had seen which was very bad news...
" Captain Smith, your ship has been hit by an iceberg: it's sinking faster than a rock!"

" It cannot be! It cannot be!The Titanic was built to be unsinkable! "
he hollered by putting on his black cap rushing out with horror-filled eyes,
" Take down all of the lifeboats, lower them into the water...do the impossible "
" There isn't enough time...we must act quickly, or everyone dies!"

Captain Smith took another look and knew that rescue wouldn't have come for at all,
taking in consideration the location and dreary darkness sorrounding the sinking ship,
" Children and women first! " He ordered the young officers that seemed skeptical...
whlile the bunched, helpless men watched in fright refraining from jumping off as yet.

As the Titanic rose into he night sky, and lifeboats rowed...what an doleful goodbye
for those watching the dreadful evacuation, surely their sadness they didn't hide...
but who was the last member of the crew? Captain Smith of course, who never left,
but died in the icy waters...Southampton still remembers him for his bravery and grit.

The beautiful ship of Captain Smith met an anpredictable destiny...
disappearing into the gleaming, dark ocean when no star shone;
the screams of the terrified voices are still heard as clear as then...
when one racalls the heart-wrenching tragedy that happened at sea.
