The Battle of the Bards

The fall of the castles, the siege on the Lords,
The day that the enemy’s melodies soared.
A victory waited ‘till the voices were lent.
Notes beat knives, songs beat the kingdom to its end.

The peasants smiled, but they wished to weep.
They could sow but they could never reap.
The bards saw the pain on their calloused hands,
And decided they deserved to take over the lands.

Thousands of drums began the war.
Violins made rumbles in the core.
The vocals struck the ears with their calls.
The trumpets meant there’s triumph after all.

The fall of the castles, the dawn of an era,
The power of rhythm, the Lords were in terror.
The trials with notation and the style of song,
Caused people to live the way they should’ve all along.

All the bards banded to make this war,
To fight the humanity of the poor,
But none of the chaos was sparked from joy,
For feelings are not needed to pillage and destroy.

Everyone listened to the lyre,
Notes flying higher than the pyre,
Burning with the tools that oppressed,
The citizens who worked until their rest.

The fall of the castles, the siege on the Lords,
The day that the enemy’s melodies soared.
A victory waited ‘till the voices were lent.
Notes beat knives, songs beat the kingdom to its end.

The fall of the castles,
(Sing with pride)
The siege on the Lords,
(All the strength)
The day that the enemy’s,
(Beat the lies)
Melodies soared.
(Of those who take)
A victory waited
(Have no fear)
‘Till the voices were lent.
(Cry out loud)
Notes beat knives, songs beat the kingdom to its end.
(No one will have a crown)

Thousands of drums began the war.
(Thousands)
Violins made rumbles in the core.
(The strings attack)
The vocals struck the ears with their calls.
(Hear the call)
The trumpets meant there’s triumph after all.
(After all)

Let the castles fall.
Let the castles fall.
Open the gates, the castles will fall.
Do not deny
The strength of the bards.
They stand for the people.
Their music carries far.
The Lords gave no eye
To the thousands who cried
To be cared for at all,
So let the castles fall.

It’s a battle of the bards
(The fall of the castles)
‘Till the last leaf falls
(The siege on the Lords)
Be the enemy
(The day that the enemy’s)
Of those who hate melodies
(Melodies soared)

The fall of the castles
The fall of the castles
The fall of the castles
In the battle
Of the bards
