The Bastard

keep your eye on the sky boy
keep your eye on the sky
and your guns all trained on the day-
for the bastard at last is a thing of the past
and there may be hell to pay boy,
there may be hell to pay

now stay on your toes boy
stay up on your toes
and weep ye no tears for him-
tho'the devil now sleeps with the fishes down deep-
and his virgins don't know how to swim boy,
aye, they never learned how to swim

so have no regrets boy,-
have no regrets
for taking the life of a toad-
as there's plenty more where he comes from for sure
and he only reaped what he sowed boy,-
he only reaped what he sowed.

What a great write with unusual rhyme but it works beautifully.

Rob...I loved it!...absolutely LOVED IT!...and I also love the fact that he did reap what he sowed!....just hate it that they thought they should discard his body in the ocean..why not show it to everyone?....I wouldn't care if they wanted to build a flippen 'shrine' out of his remains.....HE'D STILL BE DEAD!.....Now I don't want to eat any fish!....ugh!...Great Write Hear!...........SugarbearUSA.........:)
