The Bad Word

I may not be posting here for a while, but I'll still continue to drop by now and then. I'm writing on a subject of a much bluer style. The F word seems to be my latest obsession. I'd never post any of it here because I fear many soupers would want my head and without any mercy the PS staff would most probably, render my PS account dead. As a lover of words I feel this word merits exploring regarding its controversy with obscenity as well as the word's origin. It just amazes me this word's ability to drive so many to the brink of insanity. Have you ever said a word repeatedly, until the sound of it sounds so meaninglessly? I propose that we broadcast that word for 24 hours, repeatedly through everyone's head. I believe that at the end of that day, everyone will say, "The F word is finally dead." Those who take offense at obscenity ALLOW themselves to be offended unfortunately.

Well I had to come back. You know it's a good thought provoking poem. I've discussed it before with selected folks, but never have seen it in black and white, Bill. Now about that last line... don't think it would be dead. Instead i think the major colleges would start an extra credit course in efenese or something...What do you think? Thanks for sharing this Bill. It was fun. -Robert

Hmmm I think I could write an essay on that word. Have you noticed ,Bill, that it is very difficult to use alliteration with that word? Not sure why. One can surely do it but it takes much practice. Hmmm interesting subject Bill. Good luck in the literature of it all. :)-Robert

You go and write from your heart, Bill. The F word is overly used, I think. And mostly at the most inapproriate time!! But you go do what you got to do and come back here with some of your awesom poems! Thanks for reading my poems and leaving your kind comments and encouragement! Peace and love, Audrey

Well, gosh, bill, you just love to talk about htat word. hahaha. Hey, listen, I don't think I can enter Dieting, dang it. I just went back to review the rules and the word dieting does not match up in "rhyme scheme" with the other words in the stanza. The rules state: same rhyme "scheme" GEEEEZ, I do not know how literally to take that. But I posted a second one i just did and hopefully you will like it as well as dieting. LUv, andrea ps. Please come back soon!
